If you have joined the blogosphere, then you probably have blogging goals. I, of course, have blogging goals on a personal level and business level. Initially, I started a blog because I wanted a way to practice writing and get my writing career going. When I realized that I could also use a blog to help with my business career, I chose to pursue blogging in that way. Writing is one thing that I am doing and trying to launch my skin care product line is another thing that I am doing. Currently, I am using my blog to promote both. I have blogging goals just like any other blogger. I realize there is more to blogging than to just write a post, publish it, and allow comments and store archives. If you have blogging goals, here are some tips in accomplishing or achieving the goals that you have set for yourself.

The first thing you should do is choose the right blogging application. If you have plans to become someone that has high traffic and your writing lots of post and uploading photos and content, then you should choose one with a lot of storage and bandwidth, so you can have enough space on your blog to put things and so that content can load quickly. Customizing your blog is important as well. You don’t want to choose a bogging application that has limited designs and functions because you want to make your blog appeasing to your readers. Also, you want to brand your blog. Branding is the message, image, and promise of your blog. The tangible and intangible elements of your blog matter to the audience because it can let the perspective readers know how much you have invested in making your blog different then other blogs. Maintaining your blog is also important. You want to keep up with it because your audience is going to be looking for you to continue to post content on it.

The biggest tip that I would say is very helpful is investing money into your blog. The amount of money you invest in your blog directly affects if you’re going to have a good amount to traffic or not. Purchasing a domain name can be beneficial because it connects you directly. You can make money from your blog by including ads and other monetization initiatives. Also, blogging with other authors can be helpful as well. As your blog grows, you might need additional writers to help you keep up with the flow of things, so you can maintain your blogs brand.

I am a writer and a business owner.
